Kate Gosselin is pulling back the curtain on one of the most personal chapters of her life… revealing that she lost a baby during the high-risk pregnancy that made her an acquainted name.The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star opened up in a TikTok series about her fertility journey. Kate explained that her first ultrasound showed seven heartbeats, but when she returned a week or two later, one of the fetuses had stopped developing.

Kate, who has been open about living with polycystic ovary syndrome, said fertility treatments enabled her to conceive her twins, Cara and Mady , and her sexuplets. She recalled a terrifying moment early on, when she began bleeding and was rushed to the emergency room, convinced she was miscarrying all her babies.
“All of a sudden, [the tech] said, ‘I saw six,'” Kate shared. “I said, ‘You see six what?!’ And she said, ‘I see six heartbeats, they’re there.'”She later added that she believes the lost fetus was a girl and she would have named her Emma . Despite the heartbreak, Kate said it scared her to commit to the pregnancy… “It made me realize how much I already loved them.”
Her sextuplets — Aaden So, Alexis So, Collin So, Hannah So, Joel , and Leah —arrived two months prematurely in 2004, delivered in three minutes. Kate admitted she didn’t meet them until half a day later due to her own grueling recovery.
