Ryan Reynolds cut a dapper figure in a casual suit as he joined Tom Hanks’ baby Nepo son Colin Hanks on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday night.
The 48-year-old Deadpool star was on hand for the world premiere of the documentary John Candy: I Like Me, which was directed by Colin, who looked shockingly different than usual thanks to his thick, pepper-colored beard and rail-frame.
Ryan had some support of his own at the premiere from his mother, Tammy Reynolds.
The Marvel star made a stylish appearance in a brown velvet outfit and vintage-looking Canada t-shirt.
His mom flashed her megawatt smile as she posed with him, wearing a white blouse and a skirt covered in black polka dots.
She added a long black cardigan, shiny silver platform shoes, and rocked her spiky, ash-gray pixie haircut.

Colin, 47, looked shockingly different from his usual clean-cut image. He sported a thick, pepper-colored beard and appeared thin; seen on the left in 2022 and on the right on Thursday night.
Colin hit the red carpet in a navy blue suit and gray button-down shirt that emphasized his seemingly diminished figure.
The Nepo Baby filmmaker, who his father Tom shares with his ex-wife Samantha Lewes, completed his greying look with stylishly retro eyebrow glasses and shiny black leather shoes.
Eugene Levy, 78, was another famous face at the star-studded event.
The Schitt’s Creek star, who was a frequent collaborator with John Candy’s, looked confused in her round of black and shiny spectacles.
– There is no other place we would rather be than here.
“We’ve had countless conversations with various people about where the dream place would be to premiere this film, and the truth is, the answer lies in the lyrics of John’s favorite song: Oh, Canada, our home and native land,” Colin told the TIFF audience, per the performance, according to Deadline .
And Ryan added of the late comic actor: ‘John, he left us in 1994. He might be the greatest, most beautiful man I’ve never met and I would really, really give anything to know that man.
“I’ve been obsessed with him for a long time, as many people know. My damn suit is covered in John tonight.”

The production of John Candy: I Like Me was announced in 2022 by Ryan in 2022.
And the film’s Amazon Prime Video acquisition was announced in February 2023.
The documentary was made with the full support of Candy’s wife, Rosemary Margaret Hobor, and children Jennifer, 45, and Chris, 40.
It will give insight into Candy’s private family life off-screen and feature never-before-seen home videos, archives, and family interviews.
Colin’s father Tom and stepmother Rita Wilson starred as John in the 1985 Volunteers.
John also appeared in the 1984 splash alongside Tom and Daryl Hannah.
