Lone Island member Jorma Taccone broke her pelvis and challenged her sacrum after a recent 20-foot fall from a ladder on her Connecticut farm.
The “Saturday Night Live” alum recounted the incident from his hospital bed during Tuesday’s episode of the “Lonely Island and Seth Meyers “ podcast.
“There’s a barn, and the back half of the barn has a big white wall. And I was like, ‘Oh, this is great. We can do a big mural,'” the comedian told his co-hosts Meyers, Akiva Schaffer, and Andy Samberg. “The mural would be really, really big at the top. The apex of this barn is 25 feet.”
Taccone said he borrowed ladders, including one his neighbor described as “crappy.” Like, “You shouldn’t use that ladder. Like, it doesn’t have a standing thing. And I was like, ‘No, it’s really good.'”
Taccone was using the ladder to hang lights around the barn to highlight the mural when he fell 20 feet on his butt.
“I literally have enough time because I’m like, ‘I’m going to die,'” he said.
The accident was on August 31, her daughter’s fifth birthday, according to Us Weekly . “It wasn’t the nicest way to start the day,” Taccone said.
Two days after surgery, Taccone said doctors expect him to walk again in three to six months.
“It’s been a very scary week, and we’re glad you didn’t hit your head and you’re not dead,” Schaffer said.
There was only one question: how long do the hosts have before they can have fun with the accident?
“I mean, don’t you think it should be instant?” Taccone joked.
Taccone’s film, “Over Your Dead Cody,” which he directed, was recently acquired by IFC in May, according to Deadline . A theatrical release date has not yet been determined.
